I love teaching yoga because it allows the opportunity to encourage others to journey into their own bodies and discover the mind body connection that the practice offers. Yoga is for everyone and anyone with the courage to roll out their mat to explore movement one breath at a time. There is great joy in offering movement for all levels in any type of class and watching students amaze themselves with what they can do and hear them breath through it as they find their way. To me, yoga is listening to your body while breathing and turning one hour into an opportunity to calm the nervous system, improve circulation and discover an acceptance for what your body will allow and walking out the door feeling stronger and more peaceful with each class.

I began yoga after a marathon injury in 2000 and found so much more than a workout, yoga became a way of life. My Yoga Shelter teacher training was in 2009 with Lisa and Eric Paskel and I have since studied all over the world and all of the various limbs of yoga. I have taken yoga to various festivals teaching such as Burners without Borders at Burning Man and Chatavari. I have been trained in Dance Meditation Technique and Ecstatic Dance and have co-facilitated many events combining dance with yoga. I graduated from MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and am board certified in Osteopathic Family Practice, Anti-Aging, Aesthetics and Integrative Medicine. I also am a performing artist and am proud to have been able to be magical character at Electric Forest and Theatre Bizarre and I am currently in the Planet Ant Improvisation Educational Program. I am the mother of an 11 year old girl named Coco and this gift of being a parent has been my greatest honor.

Come enjoy yoga class with me! I look forward to meeting you and sharing the space with you…all levels and body types are welcome…all you have to do is roll out a yoga mat, listen to your own body and breath…and you will be doing yoga. Everyday is different…so come as you are and let’s embrace the practice of yoga one class at a time. Namaste.
